今  Ima in Japanese means now. 

Though the blog logo is using a Japanese word, the contents of the blog do not deal with the Japanese language and culture. The choosing of the Japanese word is only because its similar word as the blog author's name. 

今  Ima is about education especially English language and cross-cultural experience for building motivation in achieving English language acquisition. However, it does not present the insight of complicated theoretical perspective as we understand that constructing knowledge can be started from things surround the learners.

 Ki Hadjar Dewantara as founding father of the educational system establishment in Indonesia offered a famous proverb 

"Jadikan setiap tempat sebagai sekolah dan jadikan setiap orang sebagai guru" 

(make every place as a school and make everyone as a teacher)

 Nowadays, teacher is no longer as the primary knowledge source.

It means that school is not the only place where students gain their knowledge. The students may get their understanding on something outside the schools. The online learning practices nowadays open horizon on learning language which is not merely on the teachers' hand. Learners may not gain knowledge and skills only from the teachers but from family, society and even things.

Nowadays, knowledge, information, networking, skills and many more can be learnt from internet. 

This blog is for sharing academic and cultural experiences across nations for promoting English acquisition as a second/foreign language. However, nowadays, not many people love reading blog. Most people prefer TikTok, and short Youtube to learn and entertain. Besides, now, many learners in Indonesia are crazy of chasing abroad scholarships for partial or full scholarships. Thus, this blog provides light contents without loosing the main themes of the blog, namely academic and cultural experience of learning English as a foreign/second language.
